Our Last Week

With another Eurasian group, and groups from northern
Thailand, our very last week was the busiest yet in the temple--Saturday being the busiest of all.

On Monday night, we went to dinner with the Senior Missionaries who could come to a rooftop restaurant across the street from the temple. We are so grateful for their generosity to include us in their circle, even though we are not full-time missionaries.

This map will give an idea of the Bangkok temple district. Russia and Eurasia are not shown but we also have members from China, India, Pakistan, Myanmar, Laos, Cambodia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Singapore, and of course, Thailand. I'm probably missing others.

Here is one of the Ramayana Giants. These sculptures are located in the airport Passenger Terminal building and symbolize protection and the beauty of Thai crafts. They act as guardians to the gateway of Thailand. Look how big their feet are!

These photos are out of order, but I will leave them, not wanting to wrestle with Blogger.

Saying goodbye to so many loved ones is wearing. With mixed emotions, we leave Thailand.
Sister Mains and I are wearing almost the same dress, so we had to get a picture.

Sister William will take Dennis' place as Gospel Doctrine teacher. She and her husband were recently released from being mission president in India.

One of the best things about our service is we had no idea beforehand how much we would enjoy serving with the Eurasian and Indian members. We feel enriched from knowing them.

Sister Recheknikov is dedicated. I have so much enjoyed serving with her. Her husband is a sealer, and does the ceremonies in Russian.
